Who wouldn’t miss that dear face? The furniture must seem empty without him.
The whole house, the furniture, the yard...the park... Dogs have a way of communicating their presence even when curled up in the corner snoozing.
And there’s the music of jingling tags. We meant to spend at least a year without a dog. We lasted two months.
We have a couple of very big trips planned for the next two years--bucket list type things--and I wouldn't want to leave a dog behind for weeks at a time. That's the only reason I'm holding out. Otherwise I'd be on rescue list to adopt.
Travel planning has become complicated now that we can’t road trip anywhere warm with a dog.
We loved you, Benny! You were a good doggie.
